1. Overview
This Payment & Payout Policy explains how money moves through the Dot.st network wallet, card payments (via Stripe), invoices, seller payouts, platform fees, holds, refunds, and suspensions. It supplements our Terms of Service and Sales Policy.
Raffled UK Limited operates billing on Dot.st for the entire network unless we state otherwise.
2. Wallet and top-ups
2.1 Your spendable balance is the portion of your wallet available for new charges after existing holds and compliance locks.
2.2 Top-ups via Stripe Checkout credit your wallet once payment succeeds. Top-ups are generally non-refundable except for proven duplicate or erroneous charges.
2.3 Auto top-up preferences may trigger alerts or future automated charges when enabled and disclosed; you may disable alerts in billing settings.
2.4 Wallet funds are not bank deposits, do not earn interest, and are not e-money unless we explicitly state a different regulatory status.
3. Payment methods
3.1 Saved cards are tokenised by Stripe. You may set default and backup cards with priority order on the billing page.
3.2 Off-session charges may be attempted for invoice settlement, auction hammer balances, and similar flows where you have agreed to our terms.
3.3 Failed payments may block bidding, backorders, registrations, and releases until resolved.
4. Invoices and settlement
4.1 Invoices are issued in USD unless stated otherwise and may combine wallet debits and card charges.
4.2 Unpaid invoices past due may block auctions, backorders, and new purchases until settled.
4.3 Wire or manual payment options, where offered, settle only when we confirm cleared funds.
5. Platform fees and commissions
5.1 Marketplace listing / success commission: Unless otherwise shown on the listing or admin pricing settings, Premium.st marketplace sales are subject to a platform commission of twenty percent (20%) of the gross sale price (hammer price or Buy-Now/negotiated price before seller payout). This covers marketplace operations, escrow handling, and transfer support.
5.2 The seller net payout is the gross sale amount minus the platform commission and any disclosed buyer premiums, taxes, wire fees, chargeback recoveries, or penalties.
5.3 Commission rates may vary for specific programmes, promotions, or admin-owned inventory; the rate shown at listing or checkout controls for that transaction.
5.4 Commissions are earned and non-refundable once a sale completes and are deducted before payout.
6. Seller payouts
6.1 Withdrawable balance is the seller portion of cleared sale proceeds available for payout request, after commissions, holds, and compliance review.
6.2 Payout requests are processed manually or via Stripe Connect (if enabled) to bank details you provide. We may require identity verification, tax forms, and anti-fraud review.
6.3 Payout timing: We aim to process approved requests within [5–10] business days but do not guarantee a fixed SLA. Registry transfer completion, escrow milestones, or dispute holds may delay release.
6.4 Minimum payout thresholds may apply as shown in the billing desk.
6.5 We may withhold or offset payouts for chargebacks, policy violations, registry disputes, or amounts owed on other invoices.
6.6 You are responsible for tax reporting on income from domain sales in your jurisdiction.
7. Holds and authorisations
7.1 Backorder maximum bid holds and auction proxy authorisations reserve wallet or card capacity; they are not final charges until a qualifying event occurs.
7.2 Holds release automatically or manually when attempts conclude, auctions you lose close, or authorisations expire per card network rules.
8. Refunds and credits
8.1 Refunds follow our Sales Policy (generally final sales).
8.2 Where we issue a refund or wallet credit (failed registration, proven duplicate charge, admin error), it is posted to your wallet or original payment method at our discretion.
8.3 Stripe refunds may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
9. Default, suspension, and recovery
9.1 Failure to pay invoices, auction settlements, or chargebacks may trigger default suspension, blocking new activity.
9.2 Recovery options (pay-in-full, escape fees where configured) are shown on the suspension page. Escape fees are non-refundable.
9.3 We may engage collections for unpaid balances.
10. Chargebacks
Friendly fraud or chargebacks on valid final sales may result in permanent account closure, domain locks, and recovery of fees including chargeback penalties.
